Project Green Gables

Many of us are familiar with the classic series Anne of Green Gables, written by L.M. Montgomery. This is a modern retelling of the classic series. A young girl tells her story through video, showing where she lives and her friends.

Note: Season 2, Episodes 1 ("Summer Nights") and 28 ("Tending to my Fro") are not captioned due to their being silent. There is no talking in these two episodes.

Consequences

What happens to Internet scammers when they retire? They decide on different targets, but this time the targets are people who steal and other things. For example, they decide to go after a former professional football player who has stolen funds from his own charitable organization. In the second episode, one of the men discovers his girlfriend is actually married and wants him to help her get him out of her life. Three episodes have been published so far, and there will be a total of seven episodes when the series is complete. Producer is committed to full captioning.

The Boys Who Brunch

Four gay friends. Mason looks for a partner, and the series shows him meeting guys he is romantically/sexually interested in but they end up being just friends. Then Mason has the idea of introducing them to each other and starting a weekly brunch. They have now been brunching for three years and counting. Mason's new idea? Every week they have a dare or challenge and must report to each other on the results.

Bmore Chicks

Based in Baltimore, Maryland. Three young African American women in low-wage jobs work at an inn. Urban style, with some possibly offensive language and mention of drugs. What one disgusted housekeeper does in one scene in the first episode, will make you laugh. One of the women comes up with an idea to make more money by breaking rules/laws.  Eight episodes, fully captioned. Producer did the captioning themselves.

Getting Back with Dave Benson Phillips

This British web series is a mockdoc (hybrid of documentary and mockumentary) about a former children's TV producer named Dave Benson Phillips. The prequel episodes have all been captioned, including the trailer. Each of the prequel episodes introduces the main characters and sets the tone for the upcoming mockumentary. Did you know that the British word for "slime" is "gunge?"

Franchesa Ramsey discusses race and racism in this weekly web series for MTV News. Topics have ranged from "if famous movie stars were black," an episode in which black actors re-enact famous scenes, to police brutality.
